Phthalates (pronounced THALates) are chemicals used to soften vinyl products. They are also used in consumer products to make the scent last longer or mask the scent. This small brochure answers some of the questions you might have regarding Phthalates and your child's health.

Personal care products include items like shampoos, deodorants, perfumes, shaving creams, lotions, soaps and make-up. This pamphlet provide some facts and tips that ensure the personal care products you use are not adversely affecting your health.
