Injury Prevention

As they say, safety first! And it’s something we believe and enthusiastically support at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

TBDHU is responsible for promoting and protecting the health of the community through a number of education and awareness initiatives such as:

  • Providing relevant information to Thunder Bay District on how to prevent injury in a variety of settings.
  • Linking the public to general injury prevention information from trusted sources
  • Operating or partnering with other community organizations to offer programs and campaigns related to injury prevention
  • Providing a public health perspective for government or organizations creating new policies as they relate to injury prevention.
