TBDHU offers different options for food safety certification.
Why? Section 32 of Ontario Regulation 493 requires that every operator of a food premises must make sure that there is at least one food handler or supervisor on the premises who has completed provincially-approved food handler training at all times during operation .

Convenient option: Work at your own pace in this online course that covers all of the information you need to successfully pass the provincial exam.
What equipment do I need to take the course? The course can be completed on a mobile device, a laptop or a desktop.
What equipment do I need to take the final exam? A webcam is needed to take the exam so those registering must have access to a laptop or desktop with this equipment
What do I need to pass? . A score of 70% or higher on the final exam is needed to receive the Safe Food Handler certificate from the TBDHU.
