September 14, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group announce that the outbreak at St. Joseph’s Hospital, 3 South, Rehabilitative Care Services, in Thunder Bay is now over.

Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place to reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.

September 16, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group announce that the outbreak at Bethammi Nursing Home, 2nd Floor, in Thunder Bay is now over.

COVID-19 Bivalent Vaccine Campaign Launches

September 12, 2022 - This morning, the Province announced that the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine will be available starting today. As of 8:00 am this morning, individuals 18 years of age and older are able to book appointments for a fall booster dose with the bivalent vaccine. Appointments for this week and next week will be available to individuals in priority groups who are at higher risk due to COVID-19.

September 8, 2022 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Hogarth Riverview Manor, 7 North, Trillium Resident Home area, in Thunder Bay.

TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation. Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation.
