December 21, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 11 (eleven) new COVID-19 case in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 65.

December 20, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 22 (twenty-two) new COVID-19 case in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 63.

December 17, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board confirm that the outbreak of COVID-19 at St. Margaret School in Thunder Bay is now over.

There is no evidence that any additional spread of the virus has occurred in the school or in any related settings at this time. Note that all individuals that were identified by public health as a positive case of COVID-19 or close contact will be required to stay home and not return to the school setting until cleared by public health.

December 17, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Lakehead Public Schools confirm that an outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at Gorham & Ware Community School in Thunder Bay. 

December 17, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 10 (ten) new COVID-19 case in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 57.

In addition, through data quality checks, 1 case reported previously by TBDHU was removed from the TBDHU case count. This will be reflected in the overall case count today.

December 16, 2021 - Officials at the Health Unit and Chartwell-Isabella located at 1350 Isabella St. E., have declared a facility wide outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness.

December 16, 2021 - With the rapid rise in COVID-19 cases in Ontario, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is strongly recommending that residents avoid all non-essential travel outside of Northwestern Ontario. This is regardless of an individual’s vaccination status.

December 15, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 9 (nine) new COVID-19 case in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 66.
