TBDHU Sees Rising Cases with Variants of Concern

April 28, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is advising the public on the variants of concern (VOC) of COVID-19 that have been increasing in recent weeks in the Thunder Bay District. TBDHU is currently reporting a total of 25 cases that were VOCs, with 21 identified in the last two weeks. Positive samples from people who have COVID-19 are screened for mutations associated with VOCs.

Essential Workplace COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-registration Now Open

April 27, 2021 - Today, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) launched a pre-registration survey to collect information from businesses and organizations whose staff are considered essential frontline workers who cannot work from home under Phase 2 of Ontario's COVID-19 vaccination plan. This represents a broad list of workers from a range of sectors covering education and childcare workers, emergency and social services, retail, infrastructure workers and industry, among many others.
