March 29, 2021 - As we approach the Easter holiday and spring break, the northern Medical Officers of Health are asking all community members in northern Ontario to work together to prevent another surge in COVID-19.

In many parts of northern Ontario, COVID-19 infection rates have been at some of the highest levels since the pandemic began. COVID-19 activity is rising again across the province, and the rapid spread of variants of concern (VOCs) is causing aggressive outbreaks, and in some cases, more severe illness, even in younger people.

March 29, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 12 (twelve) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 207.

March 28, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 21 (twenty-one) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 216.

March 27, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 29 (twenty-nine) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 233.

March 26, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 20 (twenty) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 259.

March 25, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that an outbreak has been declared at Hogarth Riverview Manor (HRM), 6th Floor (Rose - 6 North and Tulip - 6 South resident home area) in Thunder Bay.

March 25, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 33 (thirty-three) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 283.

March 25, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Ka-Na-Chi-Hih Specialized Solvent Abuse Treatment Centre announce that the outbreak at the Dease Street facility in Thunder Bay is now over.
