January 20, 2021 - Adjustment to confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by Thunder Bay District Health Unit Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) has been advised that 6 (six) recent positive tests on TBDHU residents were indeterminate due to an issue at the lab that analyzed the tests. 5 (five) of these cases reside in Thunder Bay and Surrounding Areas and 1 (one) resides in a District Community.
January 19, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 24 (twenty-four) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 92.
January 18, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 4 (four) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 75.

January 17, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 9 (nine) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 87.
January 16, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is actively investigating an outbreak of COVID-19 associated with Valard Construction’s, East-West Tie Project camp located in the town of Marathon. This is being done in close collaboration with Valard Construction management.
January 16, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 14 (fourteen) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 89.
January 15, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and BISNO announce that the outbreak at Brain Injury Services of Northern Ontario (BISNO), Mckellar Place, 6th Floor in Thunder Bay is now over.

January 15, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Josephs Care Group announce that the outbreak at Hogarth Riverview Manor (HRM), Birch/Spruce Grove Resident Home Area in Thunder Bay is now over.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place at HRM to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.

January 15, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) in partnership with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) announces that the delivery and administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in long-term care homes has now begun.
