January 7, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) region will remain in a temporary shutdown, until January 23, 2021, as part of the Government of Ontario Province Wide Shutdown.

COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over at Southbridge Pinewood
January 2, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Care Homes announce that the outbreak at Southbridge Pinewood long-term care home in Thunder Bay is now over.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place at Southbridge Pinewood long-term care home to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.
