All outbreak restrictions have been lifted.

July 25, 2023 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group, confirm that the respiratory outbreak (COVID-19), at St. Joseph’s Hospital – 4 North – Hospice / Palliative Care, located at 35 Algoma St. N, has been declared over. All outbreak restrictions have been lifted.

TBDHU recommends the public refrain from visiting hospitals, long-term care facilities and other high risk settings when feeling unwell to avoid spreading infections to those most vulnerable and at higher risk of severe outcomes.

The respiratory outbreak (COVID-19), previously declared on July 21, 2023, on 5 South – Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitative Care remains in effect.

The respiratory outbreak (COVID-19), previously declared on July 17, 2023, on 4 North – Hospice / Palliative Care remains in effect.
