February 11, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 21 (twenty-one) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 106.
Declaration of COVID-19 Outbreak
February 10, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is declaring an outbreak of COVID-19 among individuals who are experiencing homelessness and those who are precariously housed in the City of Thunder Bay.
Enhanced testing and surveillance done recently has shown a small but significant increase in cases of COVID-19 in this population. In addition, in the follow-up with individuals identified with COVID-19, public health has not always been able to establish a clear link with other cases suggesting that some spread of the virus has happened in this community.

February 10, 2021 - Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 13 (thirteen) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. Current active cases is 93.
COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over at Hogarth Riverview – Birch / Spruce Grove Resident Home Area
February 9, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and St. Joseph’s Care Group announce that the outbreak at Hogarth Riverview Manor (HRM), Birch/Spruce Grove Resident Home Area, in Thunder Bay is now over.
Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place at HRM to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility. Expanded precautions were implemented for the duration of the outbreak.

Shutdown Extended
February 8, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) region will remain in a temporary shutdown, until February 16, 2021.
The extension of the shutdown in our area means TBDHU will continue to experience time-limited public health and workplace safety measures to control the spread of COVID-19. The stay-at-home order remains in place.

COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over at Southbridge Roseview
February 6, 2021 - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Care Homes announce that the outbreak at Southbridge Roseview Long-Term Care Home in Thunder Bay is now over.
Measures remain in place at Southbridge Roseview to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility, including expanded precautions that were implemented during the outbreak.
