November 30, 2020 - An outbreak of a non-COVID-19 respiratory illness has been declared at Southbridge-Pinewood Court (2625 Walsh St E.). This outbreak is affecting the Sandpiper Unit only. All restrictions are in place.
The Health Unit is urging people to stay at home and refrain from visiting hospitals and long-term care facilities when feeling unwell to avoid spreading infections to those most vulnerable: young infants and children, the elderly and those with other chronic illnesses.

November 26, 2020 - This is an unusual flu season and demand has been much higher than in most years which has resulted in a nationwide shortage of the flu vaccine.
TBDHU is encouraging anyone 5 years of age and older to receive a flu vaccine at a pharmacy as local pharmacies in Thunder Bay and District continue to receive flu vaccine supply weekly through their wholesale distributors.
